‘Tea for Three is a fascinating collaboration between three highly respected musicians who have established their reputations in stylistically varied areas of the UK jazz scene.
Nominated for Vocalist of the Year (Jazz FM Awards 2022), three Parliamentary Jazz Awards (2021, 2022 & 2025) and an Ivors Composer Award in 2021, vocalist and composer Brigitte Beraha is considered to be one of the leading singers of UK contemporary jazz. Barry Green (Bobby Watson, Charles McPherson, Richie Cole) is a wonderful modern jazz pianist whose fluent and melodic playing has, over the last 25 years, been heard regularly at the likes of Ronnie Scott’s & Pizza Express Dean Street and the 606 Jazz Club. An iconic figure, sax and clarinet player Alan Barnes has, over a 45-year career, been the recipient of more than 30 British Jazz Awards and has twice been named BBC Jazz Musician of the Year.
Their new album “Tea for Three”, released on 9th May 2025, was recorded during a live concert and captures their spontaneous improvisations and magical encounters through the exploration of jazz standards, gorgeous Brazilian songs and new music in a unique meeting of different styles and musical experiences.
